Where I really see bad shifting is throwing it onto the big ring when cresting a hill. Maybe you aren't "supposed" to shift...

It treads the line a bit, but a NOT for me. Love those tires though, amazing ride. I might suggest sealing the sidewalls, I didn't and they get quite dirty.
