Only the cranks of the new success group were made by Campy (actually athena). Brakes were made by modolo. The hubs are the same as Maillard 700s in the late version with sealed bearings.

To my understanding, the term "inexternal" refers to the manufacturing process (iirc inner lugs) and not to the tubing. My early 90's MBK was labelled as Columbus Chromor inexternal process.

Normally, a Suntour or any other freewheel will work fine, when the hub is ISO threaded. Otherwise you need a french threaded freewheel.

Have just recently seen an orbit randonneur (parking at the street in .de). Very fine craftmanship. R531 tubing, iirc. If your is of the same quality, it is definitely worth to be restored.
