I'm not sure about times etc that it'll take for a good workout but I personally do a 12 mile round trip each day to school and often go on rides to local locations at night (around 40 miles a time)...

I would say that I'm genetically gifted for riding bikes as I can operate the gears, the brakes and my bell at the same time due to me having 6 fingers. Being different has many benefits you know!
