It's just a cheap one I got from Deal Extreme. Your observation is correct. It's solid. :thumb:
I didn't crash on the road while commuting. I was jumping on my MTB. I did crash the right way. Mid-air I let go of the bike and knew I was going down. I did not hurt my neck, head or back.
It's fine. Most of the time I forget I have a plate. That is until I play catch or lift something. Never took any medicine (before or after surgery). It didn't hurt, which surprised me. I just...
Compact bars on my 29er. Comfortable fit. Elbows never stretched out w/ stock 90mm stem.
Don't mind the mess in the background. This is an old pic'. :D
Exactly! In 'your book'. I crashed in 2010 on hard-packed dirt (think concrete). Slammed my elbow as I rolled to avoid any neck; head injury. I was wearing a helmet and not a scratch or dirt on it.
Hey noglider. It's all pretty much flat, BUT I can climb like a goat on/off road.
Thanks. The bags are made for goggles. The front rack is made from Nashbar. Had to wait like 3 months before I...
Here's some old pics of my SS 29er and customs made 'baby' panniers:
Forget that 'policy officer'. I would of sprayed him with a water bottle. :D
OP, take a chill pill and call me in the morning. :)
Get this bracket and mount it on your fender. Then snap the light in. Done. I used to have both the light and bracket. Worked flawlessly.
Buy this from DX for less than $3. That new Romisen pictured can run a 18650 or CR123's, so you know your light will fit.
DX light mount:
This from DX.
I just 'dropped' my drop bar setup on my SS 29er yesterday and installed a flat bar. :)
I just replaced the drops on my 29er with a flat bar setup. I wanted comfortable grips compared to bar tape. I got some 'foam' Titec Pork Rinds. They're cheap, light and comfortable. I may not need...
I got the stock spacers and 18T cog on the rear. Just remove all that and install a cassette. :)
Dawes Dead Eye soon to be rolling flat bars. I may go 1x9 (or 10) with a Shimano bar end shifter mounted on the flat bar.
Well, let's just hope your comment makes it in the next issue. :)
I once made some pannier-esque bags from a couple of Dakine goggle cases. I used to stick one on top strapped down with some heavy-duty nylon straps. The fit was perfect. It was not waterproof. But...
Flip it! I've done so with a handful of bikes. Last October I got a free (lightly-used) 1994 Iron Horse AT100 MTB. Cleaned (and I mean complete detail), polished and put $170 in new parts on it.
I don't know if it has been mentioned, but make sure you check the seat post. You don't wanna get a used bike with a frozen seat post. :thumb:
Here is a 1994 Iron Horse AT100 I got for free from my brothers' neighbor. He was the original owner and kept it in the garage. He barely rode it. It still had the protective film on the head badge....
