What is better Altus or Avilio?

I know it's all a bit low end but I have to replace my shifters on an 8 speed set as I upgrade my brakes. I'm sure in the next few months I'll replace the whole gear set.

Cheers...

Many thanks - I'm going to get myself a pair of Avilio for now. I guess it's still better than my current Altus shifters/brake levers.

We got a mountain biker come into the shop last week requesting a FULL conversion to XTR over the entire bike! Can't remeber off hand what bike it was, could be Cannondale but not too sure. He must have had a lot of money to spend, that would have been some wicked bike to ride when it was done

Well that is good to know, when these first came onto the market I was wondering where they fitted in. I just thought it was the way I put it, as that is how Shimano have it listed on their website.
