Do You Ride Everyday?
I missed my ride yesterday
and can hardly wait to get back out today. I think I'm addicted and that's a good thing (in my book anyway).
Hubby is going out of town today and I plan to ride a lot. Won't have to worry about being too tired to do dinner.

First thing my 3-year old daughter asks when I get home from work is "Are we going for a 'Family Ride', Daddy?". Really helps me forget about the 8-5 "stuff", and a quick change later we're all off, weather permitting(we were soaked with 25 days of rain in May - had to squeeze in some early morning rides...).
We're new(+/- 1 month) to biking, and are limited to our 5-year old's stamina(which, with riding, and swim team practice improves each day!), we're up to a leisurely 4-5 miles. Sometimes Mom or Dad sneak off for some "adult" riding(with or w/o 3-year old who loves to 'free-ride').

FamilyOfFour, your three year old is adorable with her pretty helmit and painted nails.
I think it is great that your family rides together. I see quite a bit of this in my area and love it!

Wish I could. Long cold snowy winters, work and other obligations!!
BUt, my wife and I were out biking today, and it started to rain. We enjoyed the light rain (temp about 60) cooling us, but I was going to ride all the way home and she was going to drive home. However, just as we got to the van, it cloudburst, lightning and thunder, etc. Temp dropped to 54, and I was glad to have the van to get home in. So, I only got about 15 miles in (sob)!!
Still raining hard.
Love that pink helmet!

Yes, I ride everyday. Or at least, I do now that our drought situation has improved and there are no more dust storms or bushfires to choke me to death!

I try to ride every day since that is one of the things that keeps me sane.
Probably no ride today though.
We're having thunderstorms right now.

not to be any way, but you really should get a helme that fits your daughter properly. If something were to happen and you take a spill, her helmet looks as if it would fall right off.

I ride every day I can! Sometimes before or after work - definitely on my days off if I can get clearance from my domestic goddess. I feel cheated if I can't get out on my days off - even if it's just for a short ride.

That is a very valid point. First, see if that helmet adjusts to fit snugly and sit straight on her head. If not.... Considering the relatively low cost of a children's helmet - investing in one that fits snugly now and then swapping it out for the pink one that looks too large at this point but will be fine as the child grows is a small price to pay for protection considering the alternatives.

I ride nearly evry day year-round. I commute. Work 5 or 6 day week. I have a rainsuit I wear when it's raining, and a snowmobile suit, ski mask, and ski goggles for when it's cold. I did'nt stop riding last november like I have in the past. Coming up on a year with daily rides.

I don't ride every day but wish I could. Spouse and I try to ride 4 to 6 days a week. Usually 8 to 10 mi but will join in to make a 20 to 25 miler. My son (who rides 40 to 50 mi 3 x week) said the only way to get stronger was to rest some. I tried it and it works. Every 3 to 4 days make yourself rest a day. The next ride will be stronger. Just try it!!!

I try to ride everyday (live in florida so no snow), but i do get stuck in the house in the summer with the storms we get here (lightning). My normal daily ride is from 12-15 miles depending on how I feel and how far away I am when it starts to get dark LOL On the weekends i'll ride a local rails to trails called the gainesville hawthorne trail its a 16 mile linear trail. Nice scenic ride where I dont have to worry about getting ran over or run off the road by cars. Lots of wildlife too. I see deer all the time and even came upon a 3.5ft aligator sitting in the middle of the trail sunning itself one day. I figured it had the right of way, I gave it lots of space as I went around

My wife and I ride each weekday, for 8 miles, within the subdivision. She has diabetes with some complications. It's a great way to exercise. We've been riding for 2 years. The weather doesn't pose any problems here in tampa.

I haven't done my daily 37 miles since Dec 1. I started a seasonal job and it limits how long and when I can ride.
I have been able to get out a few mornings before work, but I can't understand why I haven't seen any other cyclists out riding. The temperature was only 36F (2C) with 8 mph (13 km/hr) winds.

I try to ride everyday.. but for the past few weeks, I have only been out a few times.. maybe twice, three times a week... I used to ride everyday, rain or shine.
