Road brakes, also known as caliper brakes, only attach to one point on the frame or fork and don't have as much stopping power as canitilever and V-brakes, although newer dual pivot caliper brakes stop almost as good as cantis. Caliper brakes are lighter and easier to adjust.
Funny thing. Your cheap "mountian" bikes usually have a crappy stamped steel caliper brake.

Why? I would think using quotation marks work the same as the reply feature. Unless you want credit for it. In which case he would just have to say:

I was giving you credit for being right. I type rather fast, and copy and paste adding quotes is also pretty fast, and makes the thread look less cluttered then using the reply feature.
