I thought cantilevers were a different kind of brakes?

V brakes can apply more pressure to the rim than road bikes. Something you need in wet and muddy conditions.

V-brake is a Shimano trademark that became a generic term

Road brakes, also known as caliper brakes, only attach to one point on the frame or fork and don't have as much stopping power as canitilever and V-brakes, although newer dual pivot caliper brakes stop almost as good as cantis. Caliper brakes are lighter and easier to adjust.

Funny thing. Your cheap "mountian" bikes usually have a crappy stamped steel caliper brake.

Why? I would think using quotation marks work the same as the reply feature. Unless you want credit for it. In which case he would just have to say:

Why would he need to type the extra and do the coding when he can click the link and have all of it done with a box around it? Trust me things can get messy in the longer threads if you don't use it.

I know what you mean. But you gotta give him credit. To many poeple don't even bother spell checking and/or putting the correct letters in words. At least he did.

I do that's why he got the nice "Do me a favor" instead of a "Hey Sparky"

"Do me a favor and use the reply link."

I was giving you credit for being right. I type rather fast, and copy and paste adding quotes is also pretty fast, and makes the thread look less cluttered then using the reply feature.
