54 LHT w/ SKS P-55's

I finally found some p-55's for my 26 inch wheeled LHT.

The are great except the top portion of the front fender sticking up a bit too high and nearly hitting my front brake cables. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Same issue here but it does not touch the cable. Just looks odd from the front.

I use a metal extension strip like the one shown by Iforgotmename. 10 Wheels, if your place your fender bracket behind the headset, you get additional coverage at the rear of the wheel. Any reason why you're not doing this?

I made something like this with some hardware I found in a painting mounting kit. I cut off what I didn't need with a hack saw, sanded it down and then plastic coated it with a spray on coating from home depot. The fenders are looking much better.
