Wheelset for Clydesdale rider

I recently picked up a Cannondale track bike. The only problem I see is the rear wheel at higher cadences it doesn't very stiff. It came with a set of Mavic Ellipse track wheelset. Just curious if anyone had any input. Currently at 298lbs, goal is 250lbs. Any help is greatly appreciated, I love this bike.

The Mavic Ellipse with only 20 spokes in the rear is not going to carry your weight. You need something like these wheels >>> https://www.retro-gression.com/colle...wheelset-black

Exactly the kind of recommendation I was looking for. Thank you, I will give them a shout.
