Yeah I've purchased from them before. I was mainly just curious about their reasoning, wasn't likely to do anything about it.

What bothers me is how this girl doesn't even try to read or understand. What she said the first time is the absolute truth and nothing, not even conclusive evidence, can refute her claims.

Yeah, they probably just made a mistake on the eBay listing. I've done it plenty of times. :/

Shipping to Australia, New Zealand, etc. is a different animal altogether. Depending on the service being used, it can cost twice as much as shipping to other countries.

I understand that. But not once have I inquired about or even mentioned Australia.
All I've asked her is to show me where it says shipping is $72.99 to Canada.

EDIT: Well they finally realized I'm not the customer they thought I was hence the extremely confusing replies. Still very odd that it took about 10 emails back and forth to figure out you're talking to the wrong person.

+1 for Universal, Dan's Comp (have to call for Sapim spokes but awesome prices and shipped out fast), Velo Orange, Niagara, JensonUSA, and Thor USA.

-1 for Tree Fort Bikes. 8 days for them to ship an order in which nothing was indicated as backordered and stated it should ship within 3 days in the order confirmation email.

Just an update on my experience with TFB. I sent them an email yesterday evening inquiring if there was any reason why it took so long for my order to ship. They responded this morning with some possible things that may have occurred and offered me free shipping on my next order if it's under the free shipping cutoff. That's about as much as I expect for good customer service, so I'll probably give them another shot.

I'll change the -1 to a 0 for TFB, we'll see if they can go positive if I place another order.

I have always had really good experiences with TreeFort, but they're relatively local to me, so I haven't had to deal with shipping.

TFB has been good to me lately, despite our shaky start.

Nobody seems as efficient or fast as universal cycles, easy to return things too

and of course scrod

Universal, Ben's Cycles - quick turn around on orders.

Scrod doesn't sit in front of his computer repeatedly pressing F5 and biting his nails waiting for orders, which bothers me. Obviously with him and his wife running that operation, you'd think they could man their computer 24/7. I expect instantaneous service when I thrown down my CC#. I want a reply back in my email so fast, I can't even hit submit before its already telling me that its on a truck, in the plane and in the ****ing air with Scrod, holding the package I ordered, wearing a parachute ready to jump and risk his own life to make sure I get my god damn Thompson seatpost and matching Brooks saddle in under 30 minutes - or he has to bring me a pizza. Otherwise, it's just slipshod work man. Slip. Shod.

Retrogression, in all honesty, gets my 100 percent endorsement. So much so, that I'm starting to turn away business from my LBS because these guys are a buncha' dicks.

Scrod's the man. My mom came over the other day, looked at my bike, and said "So you're keeping Sweet Bikes(my preferred LBS) in business, eh?", and I was all like "No ma, I order my stuff online from this guy with dreads!" then she told me that anyone with dreads is probably a drug dealer and I should stay away.

Only half of this story is true.

Anyone had experience with the ebay store:Kagetsuen or phil the power taylor?
He has good ratings but I'm not sure about customs or the condition of his stuff since it all says it was used by pro keirin riders.
Some of his prices seem ok if you can combine shipping.

had placed a speedgoat order on the 22nd and hadn't heard anything. got a tracking # today and it was sent out 2 day delivery so I'll get it Friday. Obviously not the quickest place in the world, but it's nice they made up for the delay with fast shipping without me saying anything

Just bought a bunch of stuff from them and the order came in yesterday. Took about a week (not bad for Texas to Massachusetts), and had a really good price for the tires, and normal prices for the other stuff (tubes, bead jack, water bottle holder mount, magnetic parts bowl). Will use them again if their prices stay that much lower than everyone else for what I need.

order with speedgoat #2:

order goat notes (gift certificate) as part of their 4th of July sale to buy a seatpost
email them to combine my notes so I can order an enve seatpost (which is listed as in stock and will ship in 3-5 days) then email them to say I want to use them on the seatpost
am told the site stock was an error and the posts aren't available until late august
ask for refund on goat notes so I can buy it elsewhere
am told goat notes are not refundable...
try to point out there's 0% chance I buy the goat notes if their site has the correct information. that I bought the notes for the seatpost and only the post
waiting...

the fact that I have to ask, even if they do come to their senses, is disappointing. I let them know of my intentions at the same time I put in my order. notes weren't a gift, card used has my name, etc.

if they don't refund me, jesus christ I'm going to be pissed

got my refund and placed an order for a cheaper seatpost with a shorter wait (3-5 days) on the 6th

Got an email today saying something messed up (supposedly they were sent the wrong post) and it'd be another 2 weeks*

guys have been fine to talk to on the phone, michael c is who I mainly deal with, but unless they're considerably cheaper than everyone else for something, I won't be ordering from them again; they already take the longest out of anywhere to ship your **** (based on a previous order as well)

*was offered a refund and all that jazz, but jesus, I just want my mfing seatpost. stray some Ben's, Scrod or UC and you will regret it. hell this company is much larger than retro-gression and when leader (not scrod) were they reason for a delay in my shipment he made it up to me, have yet to get an offer like that from SG

edit: feel I should add that Tree Fort took care of me too when their distributor kept messing up a frame order

Niagara Cycles has to be the worst bunch of dicks I've ever purchased from. Not only did they ship me a set of brake levers that was completely different from what was pictured on the site, when I asked for a RMA they sent me back a pdf with a copy of the shipping label originally used to send me the item. TWICE.

I just filed an A-to-Z complaint with Amazon; hopefully I don't have to screw around with this crap too much.

Anyone use bikebuyers.com before?

Are these bike complete garbage? They look nice and they're inexpensive.
