update #2. from the previous phone call I had with the dude from treefort I explained to him that I made changes to the order instead of waiting on certain items because I needed it by this weekend and it not having been shipped yet was going to prevent it from getting here on time. he told me he'd check int he morning on that and they'd ship it out.

well I just got an e-mail with a tracking number. apparently it got out the door tonight and they had to upgrade it to 3 day select (sweet move to make up for the lag).

This place will keep getting my business. I really can't think of the last time another online dealer went to this kind of trouble to keep me happy. I mean it probably helps I gave them close to a grand, but that's really not *that* big of an order.

Chinese knockoffs, I imagine. Probably not very high quality.

That's about where the quality service stops. They're awesome until they already have your $ (see the soma rush build thread if you want the details)

back on track
+1 again on Retro-Gression
+2 UniversalCycles
+1 again on BikeIsland
-1 TreeFort

just made my first nashbar order to pick up some low end things for a craigslist buy. though their shipping system seems stupid (the more you spend the more it is to ship?)

CYCLECHOICE
BENSCYLES
CITYGROUNDS

Anything you need they will have and way cheaper than anywhere else. All 3 have great and fast shipping/customer service. Only 3 sites I order off of.

I bought wheels from Bell's Bike Shop in Philly the other day. They do free shipping but I went to pick them up. There's no store-front, just a warehouse full of really nice, knowledgeable people.

Shout to the tremendous service from Tony at IRO

So I ordered up some hubs and a rim last week to finally get my new wheelset build underway. Got the package last week and when I got home and opened it I discovered an issue with the front hub. I immediately emailed IRO customer service and sent a pic of the marks to the lip of the flange. Tony replied within minutes(granted this was after business hours). He gave me the option of a replacement or refund, and opted for the replacement. Within hours I received a tracking number for the package of the replacement, which arrived in perfect condition. Just wanted to give Tony and IRO a shout out for the amazing customer service, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, or suggest them to others.

Bell's is awesome. Are they still located in a garage with a weird mural on the door?

Anybody here ever have any dealings with CS West Bikes in Colorado Springs? They're the only source I could find for the Soma High Rise Stem I want (even Soma is out of stock) so I'm just curious if anyone knows if they usually have the parts in their catalog in stock (which means I'll get it) or if they're a drop shipper (and they're going to tell me the stem I ordered I can't get because their catalog is out of date). I'm quite hopeful as their price was decent and the free shipping they offered on my stem was nice too.

Yep, felt like I was buying drugs as I had to call them and stand on the curb waiting for someone to let me in (they said the doorbell was broken or something).

They're also like .5 blocks from Pat's and Geno's. That was a sad day to be a vegetarian.

I ordered a frameset from CityGrounds. Ordered Sunday, arrived Thursday. Unfortunately there were hella chips in the paint! Not sure if UPS or CG is at fault. Regardless, Citygrounds is exchanging my frame and I dont have to pay return shipping. The dood I talked to on the phone was super nice and helpful. I'd buy from them again. Oh and they included 5 stickers with my order! I'm a sucker for stickers.

Also I recommend Tokyo Fixed (London). They ship immediately and have high quality stickers.

No hate. Both times I've used them I received exactly what I ordered. I just think their prices are a little misleading when you factor in a higher shipping than most places and state tax

I've ordered through CityGrounds multiple times and they have ALWAYS been awesome! Quick shipping and always well packaged.

I ordered bars through TreeFort a while back and everything was perfect through them as well. Definitely not as fast as CityGrounds though.

Got my stuff in less than a week (2-3 days) with free shipping. I'm very happy with their service.

Texas Cyclesport was overall the best I used so far. The sales person was the best. He did not try to sell me everything possible but gave me good honest advice in a professional manner. I was pleased at that.
