true, shipping speed is relative to your location and expensiveness of shipping method....

i guess im wondering which bike places get your order out the door quicker. I ordered something random from an equally random online bike shop and they didn't send an email saying they sent it with tracking number until 4 work days after my purchase.

i will say for international shipping, mainly UK to US, Wiggles is definitely the fastest ive encountered.

Like others have said, Tree Fort Bikes is pretty good. They seem to have the lowest prices whenever I search via GoogleShopping and they ship very quickly.

Cheers

They keep very low stock and drop ship/wait and ship a lot of things from QBP

Used them before i knew this, took close to 2 weeks to get from NY to NC. Most of this time the order was processing aka coming from QBP. Customer service is also hit and miss, mostly miss. The most effective way to use them is to order through amazon. If they dont have it in stock there but they have it on the website its more than likely a QBP item.

I placed an order yesterday and was able to choose free shipping for some reason I don't fully understand (ships from different warehouses or something like that). I'll report back when it gets here.
I placed my order Wednesday, it shipped Friday (48 hours as promised) and I received it Monday.

Everything was fine with the order with one exception. A saddle I purchased had been removed from its packaging and there were marks on the bottoms of the rails from where it had been installed on a bike. I'll contact them today and see if they will fix this.

Anybody have a good source for spokes? I would like to find a box of 270mm DT Comp in black with black nipples, but all I can find is silver nipples.

Edit: Never mind, Fiancée decided to surprise me with something else!

They have best prices I've found for Phil BB
Also they do price matching. I've had only good experience with them

Spent about 5 minutes on hold, but the customer service rep was both knowlegable and helpful. Mistakes happen and shopping online always includes the risk on getting something that isn't exactly what you want. I will be shopping at Universal again.

Yes, completely legit, but their prices and shipping costs are higher.

So I ordered from them yesterday morning and promptly got an email for the summary of the order. I opted for in store pickup so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. Waited a day but didn't get any email saying it was ready for pickup and their website said my order was still processing so I called them around 1pm today to check the status. Lo and behold, it was ready.

Went to pick it up and everything was good. I'd order from them again, but i'd probably get it shipped. I'm not sure if having picked in store pick up affected the processing.

I tried out Ride-this.com for a box of spokes... I placed the order on the 16th and they first claimed a ship date of the 22nd, but updated with "There has been a delay to your shipment due to incorrect stock quantities"... Said it would ship today, but still no update...

So browsing this thread i think i've counted +3 for tree fort bikes. I'm about 99% sure i'm ordering some new cranks from them tomorrow AM. Anyone else have a good experience with them? Any bad? Everything i've found on them has been good press so far. Just trying to do my homework before I place the order.

I think they can match the price if you can find a set of the same cranks at a lower price.

Tree Fort is great. They do automatic price matching but if you find a lower price other than what's posted on their site you can contact them and they'll match it.

I've ordered from most of the places mentioned here and never had a bad experience.

One glaring omission is peterwhitecycles.com.

HIs website has a lot of interesting reading too...take it all with a grain of salt though.

+1 Universal Cycles

Love the price match within 30 seconds feature. Reasonable shipping rates too.
