Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I bought a rear brake because I wasn't sure if I was going to ride ss or fixed but I ended up enjoying fixed a lot better =).

Outfitted for a long ride. Comfortable riding position > street cred.

No, you're doing it wrong. We don't ride bikes in BFSSFG. We just sit on the internet all day and buy parts from Scrod.

True.

I actually walked this bike from photo spot to photo spot because riding it would require food calories that can be afforded to retrogression orders.

But I think the most comfortable I have with this is bullhorns. Risers need a higher head tube than this bike offers, or a longer stem, or generally less saddle to bar drop.

Yes! Much better!

But I still I don't understand what it means. It looks like the second guy has more street cred. So unless that means zero street creds versus 10 street creds...
