Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I think that chair would be a lot cooler without the useless bike-themed things thrown on. Specifically, the seat-collar, the water bottle cages, and the randomly-lugged headtube.

I don't know how I feel about the leather bar wrap. I think I'd like it if you touched that part of the chair when sitting in it.

Is anyone familiar with the Maserati birdcage designs for LeMans (late 50's early 60's, I think)? It is very reminiscent of the inside body work of one of those.

Agreed. Also, if you are going to shellac the bar tape, the least you can do is properly use twine instead of electrical tape
