Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

How are those wheels holding up to braking? I don't see any wear to the braking surface on the rim.

I'm half-tempted to put brifters on mine, but the DT shifters just look too nice.

that thing is nice^ me likey.

dt shifters are certainly classy af but after using them for a while, i prefer brifters 100%

plus if you put even modern campy brifters its still classy, cuz campy.

You can't see in the pic because it's a bit dark, but the front track is about 50% worn to the metal after 2 seasons. I've got a lot of bikes so this one doesn't see a lot of miles. The gray ano is much tougher than the black. I have a set of black on another bike and the ano was gone in a season.

I have to do some hunting to find the old-shape ergolevers. I think they look much better. Pity, because I have the new ones on some other bikes and they *are* more comfortable and user-friendly. I was reluctant to put the carbon r der on it, but it shifts better than the old veloce part.

What color is that Brooks Cambium saddle, and have you noticed any dye from the cotton transferring onto your clothes?

Nice bike
