Cachequatch/Keithquatch on GMR Tues 01/18

Wow, ran into Keith on GMR today. He was 320lbs then dropped down to a 212 lb racer, amazing! Always nice to run into guys that love the sport and encourage anyone and everyone to go out for a ride. I was dying today, 3 days in AZ visiting the daughter, more party time made GMR feel like 20,000 ft. Not that I know what that feels like haha!

Anyway, after running into the guy and hearing his story again, just that much more motivation to get my butt into shape.

Video and some Keith in action in the New SART thread and/or my blog, check it out. (links below in my sig)

Keith from Incycle Rancho

One pic shows more mtns, I'm posting both, you decide.

Good to hear you were out on GMR/GRR Beanz! We did a ride up 39 (till we hit snow) on Saturday, but I do need to get back to GMR/GRR soon.

I read the report in the old timer's. Nice! Heck, Lou Ann is becoming quite the animal in the mountains! She would have rode me into the ground that day, 8300 ft, Wow!

I almost died going to the shack.. Another root canal today and more meds but I really need to get back into shape so I'll hit up GMR again tomorrow.

Yeah, you do! the first 2 miles feels killer like you won't survive. It's all a matter of relaxing and not going into a panic when you start to struggle, it gets better. You were doing great on the forum ride, I think you stressed out.

Heck, if you ever want to go on a weekday morn, I'll go with you. With all the tamales I had during the holdiays, I might not keep up with you, but we'll get there.

Keith is a beast! Did GMR with him and our friend George a while back and he humored me by having a lengthy regroup at the top.

Nice pictures, Mr. Beanz. Met a guy today on top of Santa Fe Dam on my return trip home. He had 4 bottles, all half full. I was struggling along at 16 mph when he passes and says hi. I sped up to him and asked home many miles he was doing today because of all the bottles. He said he started in Huntington Beach and went up GMR and was heading back to complete 126 miles. I told him you da man, and i dropped back cause i was toast after
38 miles or so. Just did not have any energy today. He looked smooth and not tired. Also told him to have a safe trip home. Great day to ride.
