Dear carolton,

What do you do when you feel that even through your going what seems to be 100% but you feel that you still have more to offer?

Dear Carleton,

It seems like the general rule of thumb everyone follows is that you should not be able to touch the floor with your feet while you're riding your bike. After following the Tour de France for a bit this year, I noticed that often after cyclists finish the race, they stay on their bike and use a foot to push themselves toward their team bus. Is there a reason these pros run their seats a bit lower than what is typically suggested?

Also, why are people against quality parts (ie: nice cranks) on budget frames?

Are you sure about what you saw? Any chance you have a photo or video example?

I can't really explain why people think that.

I know the answer to the previous questions. Too bad they can't figure out how to spell my name. It's like talking to Consuela or something.

I've seen brooks saddles on the track. But, it was raced by a "steel is real" and "anything old must be awesome" type of dude. He's fast. He'd be even faster on a lighter bike. But he won't listen (I hope he sees the referrer link traffic and reads this, haha).

Brooks saddles are not common on the track at all. I've seen maybe 2-3 on the track ever.

The last book that I completed was The Rider by Tim Krabbe.

I have a handful of books that I've started in my Kindle.

I couldn't find a youtube video with an example, but I realized they're sitting on one cheek which essentially extends the opposite leg.

Ok, good. All of my body feels good in drops except for my neck... I guess I just need to ride in drops more.

Dear :

I have found that when I ride with a partner I tend to pace myself. However, when I am riding alone, I feel as though I push myself too hard. Do you have any tips to curb my inner masher? Is there a mantra you live by that might help me work on my endurance when I am alone?

I'm terrible at pacing. Ask TT. He's got more experience than me.

Dear Carleton,

How do you deal with rainy weather when you wanna ride? Do you have a beater/rain bike? Or just train indoors..?

Thanks in advance

I enjoy riding in the rain, provided it's a warm summer shower. I hate cleaning the bike afterwards so much so that it's not worth it.

So, if it rains in the middle of a ride, I just continue the ride and enjoy it. But, if it's raining before I leave, I'll just ride the trainer.

The plan was to use my current bike for rainy days/ beater purposes and build up the new one for sunny weather. I have no problem with 165mm crankarms and 44T (im currently riding 16x42). Should I buy this frame?
