Dear Carleton,
It seems like the general rule of thumb everyone follows is that you should not be able to touch the floor with your feet while you're riding your bike. After following the Tour de France for a bit this year, I noticed that often after cyclists finish the race, they stay on their bike and use a foot to push themselves toward their team bus. Is there a reason these pros run their seats a bit lower than what is typically suggested?
Also, why are people against quality parts (ie: nice cranks) on budget frames?

I can't really explain why people think that.

Brooks saddles are not common on the track at all. I've seen maybe 2-3 on the track ever.

Ok, good. All of my body feels good in drops except for my neck... I guess I just need to ride in drops more.

So, if it rains in the middle of a ride, I just continue the ride and enjoy it. But, if it's raining before I leave, I'll just ride the trainer.

I did not have lofty ambitions for this new build because I didn't want to drop thousands of dollars on components. The plan was to use my current bike for rainy days/ beater purposes and build up the new one for sunny weather. I have no problem with 165mm crankarms and 44T (im currently riding 16x42). Should I buy this frame?
