I'm curious how it will compare to the previous modes in terms of durability, as that's of primary concern in utility applications.
But lighter and with a higher gear range sounds fantastic. But what really makes me want to get one is the fact that the shifting has moved inside the dropouts. Hopefully that means no big, plastic bubble on the axle that interferes with the chain tensioner and rack and fender hookups.
I doubt I'll be able to run out and pick one up right away, but I'm sure going to start saving my pennies. Although I've yet to see pricing. Hopefully close to pricing of the original.

Looks like they've adjusted their gear range tolerances as well. 1.8 to 1 ratio instead of 2 to 1. Not a lot, but every little bit helps when I'm loaded up and trying to climb that last hill between me and home.

Sweet : )
...Can't wait till it's light enough to belong on a race bike... the parts it eliminates or replaces weigh about 1kg at Dura-Ace or Record level, so I figure it'll prolly make sense when it approaches 1.5kg...
Just need another 60% weight reduction ; )
