What are some specific examples of bikes that qualify as 80s touring frames?
Typically a true touring frame from the 70s or 80s will have a long wheelbase, with considerable clearance between the seat tube and rear wheel, and cantilever brakes. Also 27" rims will be used. Almost all makers had such bikes in that era. Last time I was at the local bike coop they had a Panasonic tourer that fit this description but the frame was too large for me.
