Has anyone had luck shimming the Nitto track stem onto a 1 inch steerer? Would like this very much on my Pista, however it's set up for a 1.125. If you made it work, what kind of shim did you use? I'm open to all suggestions except a torn Bud can.

Funny that you mention that because that is what I used to use with a slipping seatpost I had. Certain stems come with a specially built shim. Maybe you could find one one eBay and use it on the Nitto. I have a one inch steerer too so I'm in the same boat.
