I think the RX-100 line was the equivalent of Tiagra. Here's a breakdown of the Shimano lines from the mid-90's courtesy of Sheldon Brown:

# Dura Ace 9-speed
# Ultegra
# 105SC
# RX-100
# RSX

$150 for the bike seems like a good deal if the bike is in reasonable shape. Cannondale frames have been very light for quite a while now. Sounds like a nice bike.
