a good friend of mine, nick frey, recently began marketing his bamboo bicycles, BOO BICYCLES. they have made road versions, commuter versions, cyclocross versions, and a track model. there is one tandem bike, built by and for the man who supervises construction of the bikes, in vietnam.

my question is this: how does the paketa bike compare to a bamboo tandem? i will be getting a small frameset, with a 50cm captain and 50 cm stoker, so weight should be low and stiffness high regardless. but what are the pros and cons of each of these frame material? can someone do a compare and contrast for me?
