The frames and well built and the part spec is awesome for the price. It is definitely a great deal. However, if you are looking to do some off road riding it is not the best in terms of handling, the Gary Fisher bikes or a Redline would be better suited. The 29" frame's geometry is just like their 26" but made to accommodate 29" wheels in the frame so the bike does not feel all that natural, then again I am 5'7 and a bit squatty. I test rode one here at the Performance in VA because I was looking for a new hardtail. I decided to go with a 2009 Redline Monocog Flight 29'r for $500 brand new. Test rode one at my LBS and it handles awesome.
