To the OP: My experience with Canadian Tire is that it's a great place to buy tires. For your car, that is. Their bicycle stuff is C-R-A-P. They source out the cheapest "Made in some obscure Asian country" stuff and slap their name on it. I suppose to the untrained eye the lock would provide the additional deterrent that you're hoping for but I would still shy away from their line-up of bicycle accessories. If I can't find what I want at my LBS I usually go with MEC. If you don't live near a store they ship stuff for about $6.50 but if you order $75 or more worth of stuff shipping is free. They have the same type of lock
here. It may also be a cheaply made lock with "Planet Bike" logo stamped on it but at least it's got flat keys and it's cheaper than the Crappy Tire offer.
