A great way to cap off the year, I just found this 1960 (built 1/15/60 according to the serial # if I'm reading it correctly...A019340) Schwinn Continental.

I believe it's supposed to have the wing-nut style quick release (anyone got some to spare?) and I don't know if the rear derailleur would be correct (I am guessing not) + the rear rim is aluminum, not steel...otherwise, besides some scratches, it's all there & should clean up pretty nicely. I love the front shifter.
