For $1700, I would at least expect toe straps. I'd guess the main reason for "not getting into" the price of all the components is they don't add up to the asking price.

But sadly, apart from the flowers and the smileys, it's not much different than a lot of other bikes on the road. Er, well, on the sidewalks, mostly parked in front of the best places to be seen.
