Ding Ding! My first straps were/are Powergrips Straps. It's cool that you can get them really tight. I'm sorta anal about things and it took me weeks to get them evenly tight (hex bolt to adjust). I thought I was boss until I rode my friends MKS toe clips + cheap straps. I immediately felt the potential. Seems like the diagonal orientation of Powergrips gave you great 'hold-down' on one side of your foot and crap on the other side. My MKS clips + Wabi doubles are on the way!!!!!

Pressure points? Depends on how tight you like them. Really tight feels good but you get numbness, loosen it and you lose the numbness AND the super connected feeling.
