After always using toeclips, shoe plates (cleats) and straps pulled tight, on fixed and gears, I thought that clipless were brilliant. I'd bought a bike with an old pair of Look pedals and had no problems. however, when I tried using the small (mtb?) double sided pedals I found that walking picked up enough dirt, sand etc., that I found clipping in and out temperamental - and fell off twice! I've since bought a pair of Keo (Look) pedals to replace them. I'm not sure what the smaller pedals are called? I thought they were spd but doesn't that describe all Shimano pedals? I bought these because I figured I may be walking up some hills - I was right! What clipless pedal preference do others have, I'm curious to know?
