These past two weeks i've been trying to do 1.5 hours, to try to get some good base. After like 10 mins i'm just counting down the minutes till i'm done. Longest i've made it so far is about an hour and 45 mins.
this begs the question, can you really get traditional base miles with 1.5 hours on a trainer?
Over the years I've collected various Grand Tour DVDs, TDF, Giro, Vuelta. Watching them helps take your mind off the clock.
But the clock is a very important tool, especially when doing intervals.
