This may sound noobish, I bought the Cateye Velo 5 recently - this is my first bicycle computer. Thing is though I can't follow the instuctions.

It says the sensor should be within 5mm of the magnet. I tried putting the sensor on the inside of the front fork, but then the sensor bangs off the magnet. Then I tried putting it on the outside of the fork and this is more than the 5mm required.

Im just a bit stuck, if you guys could help me, great
