I don't think the 9 speed chain will fit on your crank chain rings as it is narrower than the old 7 speed chain was. Test fit a 9 speed chain to the chain rings before you go to far. Roger
All 7/8/9/10 chains have the same internal width - 3/32. Meaning even a "10-speed" chain will fit on "7/8/9/" speed rings. Perfectly. It's the outside width that differs.
