If he previously said that he's willing to part with the components, yes; but he hasn't. He doesn't even have the bike yet.
Telling him that you want something off of it without first inquiring whether he is actively selling parts from it is rude, in my opinion. It's similar to how the fellows on the Schwinn forum believe they are entitled to make an offer on your bike if you post a photo of it. Would you like it if someone barged into your Olmo thread and demanded how much you intend to sell the headset and seatpost for? I don't think so.
Case in point, I've been offended - more then once - when people have inquired as to the price I'm asking for my two chrome Paramounts (usually at C&V shows) absolutely out of the blue. To add insult to injury, many often act indignant when I tell them the Paramounts
aren't for sale, as if I'm somehow obligated to sell to them because they wish to buy.
