Bikes: See my sig...

If you want a road oriented fixed gear, get a nice road bike and convert it just as people have been doing for decades... you will get a great frame with a nice ride and it won't break the bank.

As always, should you come across a truly desireable road frame, please do not hack off all the braze on fittings and spray bomb it black and ride it as it is, you will have a more unique looking bike and the original finishes are better than anything you can do in your back yard.

A few kids have looked at my 1940 CCM and thought it was a track bike with a coaster hub when in reality, it was a coaster bike that was fitted with rear facing ends.

Many fixed gear bikes were built with regular dropouts as it was common to offer a base frame with several different drive options, at one time you could have bought a Raleigh road frame with a fixed, internally geared, or deraileur gear system.

Many racers of old would convert their geared road bikes to fixed use for winter training.
