that is not quite the same headset as the one OP has. depending on the exact model there is something called a 'Jointing' (a black plastic seal) that goes on the crown race. I'll try and scan the pic from my '93 parts manual tomorrow
I was wondering about a rubber part I have seen on others. The Pista headset is the only one I can find with a drilled upper race that mine has.
