Campy Headset: what am I missing?
I believe I am missing a part to my Campy headset (C-Record, I think). Can anyone help verify if that is correct? I put them in stack order, I believe.

Gotcha. I found this from a 1995 Campy spare parts catalog. The closest headset I could find is listed as a Pista - strange. In any case, would you concur that I am missing the following? If so, am I screwed or are these parts available or are 3rd party parts usable?
Thanks,
Guy
Thanks,

Yes you are missing the tabbed washer and the crown race. They are available and still manufactured, but will probably cost you more than a whole headset.

The tabbed washer is a fairly generic piece, and you may be able to get lucky with another crown race as long as it's made for the same size bearing and isn't too large of an outer diameter as to allow the top cup to fit over it properly.

what do the races in the cups look like? I think Jim is refering to what looks like lots of wear and scoring on the upper cone (as campagnolo calls it)

Its tough throwin' down $75 on a non-consumable part for a bike I paid $250-300 for.
