So I used a few of them: MapMyRide, GPS Tracker, and Trail something or another all weren't very good. ActiveX's GPS app was pretty good but it was designed like a kitchen sink sort of PC app, trying to be everything to everyone. It was trying to be just like a GPS unit, with other stuff bolted on. That and a few bugs. Very full featured, but not the best designed IMO. Then I found Cyclemeter, and I'm really happy with it. It's at http://www.abvio.com/cyclemeter/ . Well designed for the road rider or just the interested commuter. I have it set to sent updates to a Twitter account so my wife knows when I'm getting home. ActiveX's program could do this too in its defense, but it would insist on sending updates right when I launched the program, when I wasn't recording a route. Annoying, among other things.
