so........i have an aluminum frame that is almost entirely matte black with red and white stripes here and there. i dont like the red stripes very much, so is it possible if i just put electric tape around them, and just spray paint over the existing red paint? i'm not really looking for a professional quality paintjob, just not a horrible one.

if not, then what is the best way to get rid of the red stripes?
