quick release axles are hollow, to accept the quick release lever. Track axles are solid and use axle nuts to secure. So, if you really want quick release, either buy an appropriate axle and swap it out, or buy another front wheel with quick release and use that. Personally, I prefer axle nuts, it takes me only a few seconds more to mount or remove my front wheel using a hex wrench vs quick release, plus there is less chance of front wheel theft. And I have to carry the hex wrench anyway to service my rear wheel if I get a flat.
