any semi smart bike thief that has heard of craigslist or ebay, would stripe the bike, and sell parts separately and frame 6months or even a year later. maybe even repair it and use the frame themselves if it fits. i don't see many people on ebay listing the frame serial number. stealing bikes is a business, if i was a thief i would atleast be smart about it, not just dump every stolen bike for a ten'ner.
You're way overestimating the mental capacity of 99.9999% of bike thieves.
Depending on your circumstances and conditions, those pictures you posted can be perfectly safe. It's impossible to tell whether someone is locking properly by looking at out of context photos.
