Cassette/Chain Compatibility

Hello,

I just ordered a new wheel-set and have decided to go ahead and upgrade my cassette/chain since they have never been replaced (about 2100 miles on both). I'm looking to buy a new cassette (either a Dura Ace CS7900 or Ultegra CS6600). I'd like to purchase the CS6600 to save on some money, but I'm not sure if it is compatible with the Dura Ace CN7900 chain, which is what I have already purchased.

Does anyone know if the Ultegra CS6600 cassette is compatible with the Dura Ace CN7900 chain? I've already looked at the Shimano compatibility chart and it looks like it will work, but I just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. Also is the weight savings between the CS7900 and CS6600 really worth it? From researching around on the internet the difference in price would be $105. I'm just trying to avoid the headache of making returns after buying parts online. Thanks.
