Does that mean your front foot is past 3/9 o'clock? If so, practice locking your feet a bit earlier. Also, are your straps loose? Some people say you shouldn't be able to yank your feet out (full pedal efficiency) but I usually tighten mine down to where they only come out if I yank them out fairly hard and at the right angle.
