Shimano cassettes and chains for the same "speed" are completely interchangable as the cog spacing and chain dimensions are identical. The only thing that separates road and MTB cassettes is the tooth range as MTB cassettes are available with larger largest cogs.

So calling a chain "Ultegra" or "Deore" is just marketing-speak. Functionally they are identical.
