Just fitted some Velocity Blunt rims, in purple, laced to Shimano XT hubs to my Novara Buzz commuter. They're pretty damn wide rims; the Vittoria Randonneurs seem to just fit at 700x32. I guess they're built for MTB riding, as they were advertised as 29ers, and designed to carry 2.2" tires. They ride a bit stiffer than the WTB Dual Duty rims I replaced, and the purple is a little too wild with the yellow fenders, but I'll swap those out for black Planet Bike Hardcores and I should be back in business. Anyway, they add a nice bit of pizzaz, I think.
