Looks as if the crown is bent, not the steerer or blades. Cold setting may be an option.

Note that Raleigh never properly finished the crown around the bolt area of these things - the mounting surface is not flat, nor curved symmetrically. Virtually all sloping-crown Competitions you will find will have a bent front brake mounting post as a result; I filed a curved washer to offset the issue. Didn't particularly solve it:





If I might be quite honest, I wouldn't shed a tear over this frame. Not one tear. These Capella-lugged frames are often so badly built that it simply isn't funny. Some are decent, but few and far between.

I often wonder if the Competitions ultimately existed solely for the purpose of providing us a plentiful supply of TA Pro 3 Vis cranksets and Huret Jubilee drivetrains.
