Many of these dogs are so used to the stuff from US Postal Carriers that just the sight of the can being pulled out makes them back off. Great stuff!!!
I totally agree. It is absolutely no problem to hit a dog square in the puss while riding when they get within range. Very amusing, actually. All of a sudden, after getting sprayed they have something much more pressing to occupy themselves with, like getting their sight back.
Once sprayed they won't come within 30 feet of you. Especially when they see you reach for "the can."
Halt is great stuff. I literally won't leave home without it. I would rather ride without my helmet, or a water bottle on a hot day than to leave my property without my Halt.
It is the easy, no nonsense way of dealing with loose mutts.
