Back in the day (1980s) I was told that I couldn't spin with a 175mm crank, but I did! When I started track racing in 2007 I started with a 165mm cranks, but switch the next season to 170mm (felt like a humming bird on the 165). I'm still learning to spin up climbs, got those bad hablits from the 53/42 13x21 in my youth
