What Janmm said about the Tailwind. I think by the time RANS discontinued them, the price was up to $1299 (new.) It's a versatile starter 'bent, not a fire-breather but well-rounded and probably a fair climber. I can't tell anything about the Vision. Vision made a whole line-up, from an R-32 that was dual-20 and used a Sachs 3x7 rear hub to get the equivalent gearing as a triple chainring, to a larger line of bikes that were convertible between SWB and LWB, to one of the first highracers. You probably wouldn't be interested in the R32 or the highracer (skinny tires,) but if it's one of the convertibles it might be worth a look.
