the hubs are decent cartridge bearings, and unless your wheels are constantly going out of true, i don't you'll see any difference in a deep v set. the stock bars are chromo steel, unless you want a different bend, they will feel like steel nittos. same with seatpost, unless its creaking or slipping, what do you hope to gain? the headset and stock crank aren't the best, but typically dependable.
Seatpost is slipping, so I am looking to get a new one. The stock bars are a freaking pain, really uncomfortable.
So seat post, stem, and bars are needs.
I've seen a thread about a slipping seat post; the first reply was "Buy a Thomson!". Now I'm sure there is a seat post out there that doesn't cost 80$ that can do the simple job of holding a seat in place. any suggestions?
