Need advice upgrading a Bianchi Pista
So I bought a Bianchi Pista about 6 months ago, and rode the hell out of it
By now I feel like the parts on it are sub par compared to the frame
Now I know this thread has been brought up before ( I searched and read the others, but still have questions.)
Everything is stock on it except the seat and tires , my budget is 400$, to make the best of this I was thinking
Sugino Messenger crank
Thomson seat post
Nitto bars
and maybe new wheels or rear cog (sry don't know the proper term, the thing on the rear wheel that the chain is on,)
anyways I'm not trying to fit it with top of the line race parts, just make it dependable and fast. I learned the hard way that cheap parts will just break down on you.

I would get omniums instead of messengers. They can be found for around the same price and are suppose to be the bees knees. People even compare them to sugino 75s.
I got a thomson seatpost off ebay for 70 new to replace my stock one, trust me its a worthwhile investment, they really are nice and pretty much 'perfect.'
If you have the money I would sell off the stock wheelset on CL for like $50 and use the money towards a new nice wheelset on bicycle wheel wareouse or something. Upgrading wheels makes a huge difference in ride quality.
Also you could make cheaper cosmetic changes, like switching out the stock stem for something more sexy.

Stronger wheelset
Omniums (far more worth it than suginos considering that they come with the BB and from first hand experience they're great)
Thomson seatpost
Chris King headset (although many would argue that you can find other headsets that are just as good for less)

Max where do you live?
I've got pista too with a bunch of good wheel sets that I had on my pista.
Seriously. My pista has nothing on it that's stock anymore. Not even the fork.
If you need any dug let me know.

so what have you broken or feel is subpar. being serious.
the hubs are decent cartridge bearings, and unless your wheels are constantly going out of true, i don't you'll see any difference in a deep v set. the stock bars are chromo steel, unless you want a different bend, they will feel like steel nittos. same with seatpost, unless its creaking or slipping, what do you hope to gain? the headset and stock crank aren't the best, but typically dependable.

So seat post, stem, and bars are needs.
I've seen a thread about a slipping seat post; the first reply was "Buy a Thomson!". Now I'm sure there is a seat post out there that doesn't cost 80$ that can do the simple job of holding a seat in place. any suggestions?

Seatpost is slipping, so I am looking to get a new one. The stock bars are a freaking pain, really uncomfortable.
