I have low profile reynolds tubular rims on veloflex hubs, the wheelset comes in at 1,150 grams and they are amazing! I got a great deal from a guy on craigslist. the acceleration is simply incredible...it seems like at any speed I can stand on the bike and it goes faster. Note that reyonlds rims have internal nipples which means the tire has to be removed before you can true the wheel...I'm hoping never to true it! (this is so the spoke hole is smaller and the rim is stronger...so they say). the other thing to remember is that you need special brake pads which will wear faster. I would say find the lightest rims you can find!
